Airline Makes Woman Change Seats Because Muslims Can’t Sit Next To Females (Video)

An Orange County mom, Mary Campos, said United Airlines discriminated against her by changing her pre-assigned seat because two Muslim men refused to sit next to a female.

On September 26, 2018, just before Campos got on her pre-booked flight to Houston, a gate agent handed her a new boarding pass, saying, “This is your new seat.”

Campos said, “Excuse me?”.

The agent said, “I don’t know how to tell you this. The two gentlemen seated next to you have cultural beliefs that prevent them from sitting next to, or talking to or communicating with females.”

Campos was shocked.

She told CBS LA: “I thought I lived in a culture [America] where women were equal to men. We can’t discriminate against half the population for a belief from another nation.”

Campos was told the two men in long orange shirts were Pakistani “monks” and that the female UA flight crew were not allowed to serve the men.

Campos, a million-mile flier, said she had no choice but to take her new seat assignment. Then she wrote a letter to the CEO of United Airlines, which said, in part:

“What if I were handicapped, or transgender? What if your entire crew were female? Any belief that prevents individuals from interacting with females should not travel on commercial aircraft.”

She got a reply that said United would look into it, but she didn’t hear from them again.

CBS LA made inquiries and received this communication from UA spokesman Jonathan Guerin:

“We regret that Ms. Campos was unhappy with the handling of the seat assignments on her flight. United holds its employees to the highest standards of professionalism and has zero tolerance for discrimination.”

Campos said she wants two things from United:

  1. Apologize to every female who was on that plane, including United Airlines’ employees.
  2. Change their policy.

If UA is not forthcoming, Campos said she would do whatever she had to do to protect women’s rights.

On October 11, 2019, Orange County supervisors announced it will not award additional flights for next year to United Airlines or any airlines at John Wayne Airport until they promise to follow federal laws that prohibit gender, race and age discrimination.

CBS LA reported:

Orange County supervisors Tuesday announced it will not award additional flights for next year to United Airlines or any airlines at John Wayne Airport until they promise to follow federal laws that prohibit gender, race and age discrimination.

The move came after Mary Campos claimed a gate agent moved her from her seat on a United Airlines flight out of John Wayne Airport last month because two monks refused to sit next to her claiming their religion forbids them from sitting next to a female.

“She was reassigned her seat because she’s a woman. When we found out about that I know all of us – were very offended by that,” Supervisor Todd Spitzer said. “I’ll be darned if I’m going to allow women to be moved to the back of that plane like Rosa Parks was during the civil rights movement. That’s not going to happen in Orange County.”

“I applaud Orange County Board of Supervisor. That’s awesome. And I think that’s the kind of stance all airports need to take to make sure that airlines are enforcing the same kind of policy,” Campos told CBS2/KCAL9’s Stacey Butler Tuesday night.

She said United still has not reached out to her to apologize and has not mentioned anything about changing its policy. So she said she will keep up this fight.

“The toughest part is that to date, United still hasn’t had anything more than canned responses. I’m not going to let it go because our daughters and other females deserve that,” Campos added.

“What would happen if you had an all-female flight attendant crew?” Board Chairwoman Lisa Bartlett asked. “What if there were female pilots and co-pilots? This goes way beyond discrimination of passengers. We’re talking about personnel on the flights.”

[]

Kudos to Mary Campos for fighting back. She should have sued United Airlines because lawsuits seem to be the only language UA and other businesses understand.

If we don’t fight back, we’ll become another Sweden where their men display their surrendered by wearing pink pussy hats.

Why are we being DIVIDED? > This isn’t Christian/ Muslim issue

Why did the Airline move a person WHEN AIR MARSHALS have thrown people off of planes FOR SWITCHING seats?

Moving Seats is AGAINT FEDERAL LAW ( according to Airlines AND Air Marshals )

These are the question you should be asking

You would think United Airlines would be a bit sensitive to demands by Muslims after losing two planes in the September 11 attacks.

There should be a national protest against united and not fly that shit airline. These slimes have taken over England and the US is next. Remove those sick bastards from the plane rather than priortize their seating. Freaking disgusting!

I wish I could change my seat because I don’t want to be anywhere near a screaming baby, encroached upon by obese passengers or sit near someone’s therapy pitbull.

The MOST interesting part i found was this > Airlines tell us it is ILLEGAL to move seats.. ( Federal rules)

Why did this AIRLINE violate the law?

some people are thrown off planes by AIR MARSHALS for switching seats
Will Airlines ALLOW people to switch seats from this point forward?

United Airlines is not the problem. They are only the canary in the coal mine.
We need stronger federal laws that slap down this type of behavior in the name of Islam. Fighting Islam will be a long, hard uphill battle at this point. The fact that Facebook squashes these types of discrimination stories, indicates just how bad it is for us Americans.
    Where do we begin?

Muslims expect host nations to conform to their twisted beliefs. Islam is not a religion; it’s a cultist way of life. … They don’t belong in enlightened western cultures and can pound sand.

Muslim’s should not be allowed to demand that companies violate the law and discriminate according to race, religion, gender, etc.. She should sue the airlines (money is all that they listen to). She can give the money to her favorite charity if she doesn’t want it. She should also file a complaint with the FAA. If she doesn’t do these things, it will happen again.

I cannot begin to say how wrong this is…They must conform to OUR ways, not the other way around…If they cannot conform to OUR ways, then they should not fly on any commercial airline…They can drive, ride a camel, or walk…But flying must be forbidden to them…God Bless Ms. Campos for standing up for her rights…

Preposterous. Surely one of your slick-dick Lawyers can make a case for discrimination against this woman and make a fantastical financial claim against them?
I am surprised that American Airlines et al should allow two men in full robes to even enter the planes. What the hell happened to their magic-carpet facilities that Mohammed used?

United Airlines is a business serving the “Public”, paying taxes, applying for and receiving various tax credits and deferments as well. In addition they are subject to ALL Federal Laws! That includes discrimination of any sort! Whoever made that decision, their superiors as well should ALL have been terminated. The proper course would have been to tell those two men that United would NOT remove a woman just to make them happy! Oh, by the way; I am 70 years old; definitely Old School and somewhat proud of it!

This should never happen in America. The woman should not have been forced to change seats, the men should have been moved. United should be shamed publicly and told if it ever happens again they will no longer fly to and from that or any other airport in the US. That should get their attention!

The United Airlines reply was a non-apology. It’s like saying, “I’m sorry you didn’t like it when I hit you in the face.”

USA, stop buying into the United Airlines [ the Airlines that broke the guitar and REFUSED to pay for it till it went on Facebook-LOL] –
Boycott those who DO NOT STAND UP FOR US, “AMERICANS” and OUR VALUES!
They do NOT need OUR MONEY-they do not SUPPORT their own workers…
Buy only “Made in America” for support of our own workers and our customers for our Country
The world really does NOT care for us only OUR MONEY!!!
If we fail they do not give a HOOT! They will bite the hand that feeds them!!!
Yet, our anti-politicos benefit only themselves not ‘WE THE PEOPLE’ throwing away OUR VALUES for the sake of the MIGHTY MONEY TRAIL and their own padded fat bank account!
We need to stop supporting those who hurt us thinking we do NOT understand
When it comes to our hard earned TAX-Dollars–yes we should!!!!

this is inexcusable that these two cretins would not ride next to a woman or have a woman serve them for a very short time. What if she had complained about not sitting next to them? CAIR would have been on that like flies on cow poop. when are you all not going to wake up???? they (muslims, islam) ARE NOT SPECIAL, PERIOD.
They are human beings, well maybe, not so sure about that. I doubt those monks were the celibate kind either.

If the shoe were on the other foot UA would have called security to remove her, not them. How sad. I hope that UA wakes up before they lose more business. Do they use the same toilet as women as there are no he and she toilets on airlines?

So now Muslims are running United Airlines— determining who can fly and sit where the Muslims approve.
I hope she sues and is awarded a multi-million dollar damage settlement—- and United executives are fired en masse for this blunder.
Will blacks now decide they do not want to sit next to whites— or vice versa??
If seated next to a flaming gay male— can I request to have his seat changed so I am not offended?
How about a butch bull dyke? What if I am seated next to a Japanese person—- and I have objectionable memories of Pearl Harbor?
I did not realize that United would do seating assignments on religious preferences—–
I only want to sit next to Rastafarians………..without a lap child.
Have looked over United seating chart— and United does not give me any choices—- how did these Muslim men get their seating preferences approved???
