Images: Did CIA Changed Their Logo So It No Longer Says UNITED STATES OF AMERICA – JUST CIA?

The Central Intelligence Agency announced at the start of the new year that it had traded its old site design in favor of a new look.

From Creative Bloq

The CIA’s new rebrand includes a refreshed logo (below) which retains its predecessor’s circular shape – and very little else. With its bold, black-and-white typeface and wavy lines, the internet is wondering whether the CIA has been taking logo design inspiration from techno music posters.

The logo features on the CIA’s new recruitment website, and is part of a rebranding effort designed to encourage more diverse applicants “from people of all backgrounds and walks of life”. According to Associated Press, “while the CIA has been diversifying for years, intelligence agencies still lag behind the federal workforce in minority representation”.
People on Twitter mocked the new logo:

But what most people fail to mention is the fact that there is no United States of America on the new logo.

The old logo had CIA and the United States of America on it.

Now it just says Central Intelligence Agency with NO reference to the USA at all. The background is a webbed design.

This is significant – AMERICAN AGENCY should mention the name America in their logo.

Here’s a comparison:

What is interesting this alleged logo is still not updated on the CIA website but major new outlets like LA Times and Creative Bloq did report that this is CIA’s new logo!

Here is the current logo at the website https://www.cia.gov/:

So apparently it still says the United States Of America, but is this change ongoing?

What do you think?
