Steve Cohen Apologized For Saying Strzok Deserved a “Purple Heart,” After He Was Ripped From Wounded Veterans (VIDEO)
On Thursday, a Tennessee Democrat Steve Cohen said that embattled FBI agent Peter Strzok deserves a Purple Heart medal for his testimony in front of a congressional hearing.
“If I could give you a Purple Heart, I would. You deserve one,” Rep. Steve Cohen told Strzok at the hearing where the FBI agent faced criticism and scrutiny from Republicans over anti-Trump text messages he exchanged with now ex-FBI lawyer Lisa Page.
But, liberals have no idea of the sacrifice of those who voluntarily protect the freedoms we enjoy! With his statement, Cohen dishonored every Purple Heart recipient.
Cohen was immediately slammed by a wounded veteran Marine Staff Sgt. Johnny “Joey” Jones (Ret.) — a Purple Heart recipient who lost both of his legs and suffered other permanent injuries in an IED explosion in Afghanistan — said Cohen’s remarks were “disgraceful.”
And, as it looks like, Johnny “Joey” Jones’s critics had an impact on Cohen.
Metaphorically or literally, suggesting a lying cheating traitor be given the purple heart is beyond disgusting. He “apologizes” and then immediately goes into his lame excuses as to why he did it.
Speaking on CNN Friday Congressman Steve Cohen apologized for saying disgraced Trump-hating FBI agent Peter Strzok deserved a “Purple Heart.”
“I said something at the hearings yesterday about Purple Hearts, which another network named [after] a four-legged animal has made a big deal about,” Cohen said, referring to Fox News, “I regret using the term “Purple Heart.” I never thought Purple Heart should have been given to agent Strzok.”
Purple Hearts are reserved for the dept of defense to give to soldiers who have been wounded or killed in the line of duty! That representative is insulting all of us!
But, the Democrats say the most outlandish things and then only say they are sorry when it blows up in their faces. With this, Cohen proved he is a typical Democrat. Does a U-turn, when he thinks his Purple Heart remark might hurt him in the polls.
