Trump mic drop: U.S. president ditches microphone during G20 meeting (Video)

U.S. President Donald Trump threw his earpiece on the ground during comments to media with Argentina’s president Mauricio Macri on November 30, saying he could understand the South American leader better in Spanish.

The U.S. leader dropped the earpiece to the floor before offering comments to the media in response, saying he and Macri had been friends “for a long time”.

The ditching of the microphone is the latest act of abandonment by the president, who in October left an open umbrella on the steps to Air Force One after boarding the plane.

G20 world leaders are gathered in Buenos Aires for the 2018 summit which aims towards reaching agreement on key global issues.
