Video: The lead Impeachment Manager, Jamie Raskin, Called For Trump To Be Impeached Before He Was Even Sworn Into Office
A simple majority of US senators have voted to recognize the impending impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump as constitutional. Trump’s legal team insisted the chamber lacks the jurisdiction to try an ex-president.
Six Republicans joined Senate Democrats on Tuesday to give the go-ahead for Trump’s second impeachment trial. Mitt Romney, Bill Cassidy, Ben Sasse, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Pat Toomey broke with the rest of their party to guarantee the trial moves ahead. The task was not daunting, as only a simple majority was needed, with the final vote tally being 56-44.
Senator Cassidy joined the five senators who earlier voted on Rand Paul’s point of order that this slapdash impeachment is constitutional.
Lead House impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin delivered a tearful account of his experience during last month’s US Capitol breach, charging that the deadly episode “cannot be the future of America.”
Addressing lawmakers during former President Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial, Raskin explained that his younger daughter, Tabitha, and son-in-law, Hank — the husband of Raskin’s oldest daughter — had accompanied him to Capitol Hill to witness the counting of electoral votes on January 6.
Just a day earlier, Raskin’s family had buried his 25-year-old son, Tommy.
Raskin recalled that Tabitha and Hank had asked him if it would be safe, and he said he had told them, “Of course it should be safe; this is the Capitol.” The Maryland Democrat then choked up as he talked about being separated from the pair as rioters breached the Capitol complex.

The left believes that this was the reason why he is the head of the impeachment hearings, but another video surfaced and exposed the real reason why they want to impeach President Trump, which is in this case, private-citizen Trump.
The reality is that there is no real reason why Raskin wanted to impeach Trump even before Donald Trump took the office.
