‘Heavily pregnant’ Woman Enters The Subway – What Happened Next Is Just Disgusting! (Video)

Anna Whitehouse, who blogs under the name Mother_Pukka, took a trip on the London Underground last month, while wearing a fake pregnancy bump. Despite the tube being packed, only four passengers offered up their seats, with one more letting her sit when she asked him directly.

A study of 2,000 conducted alongside the experiment found that 60 percent of people will give up their seat if they spot an expectant mother.

The experiment, which was commissioned by Mama Mio skincare, aimed to find out how Brits treated pregnant passengers as part of its #ExpectingChange and the results are great really, are they?

Anna, who is an ambassador for the campaign, said: “I felt like I had to make a big deal out of being pregnant – really rub the bump.”

And what was her solution if that strategy failed? “Actually asking,” she explained, “which makes you feel very uncomfortable.

Just four out of ten passengers offered to give up their seats, while a fifth person agreed to let Anna sit down after she asked him directly.

The mother-of-two, 36, was shocked by their attitudes and admitted she felt like an ‘encumbrance’ on her fellow commuters.

This is the moment a woman set out to see how many commuters would give up their seat for an expectant mother – with shocking results.

Unlike the Brits the people of New York acted difrently in a experiment made by an Inside Edition reporter.

She put New Yorkers to the test by seeing if they would give up their seat to a pregnant woman. Ann Mercogliano, who is seven months pregnant, took a ride on the subway system and found a number of people were willing to give up their seats. She also stood at the bottom of a stairway to see if anyone would help carry her suitcase up the stairs but many people rushed by. Another test shows Mercogliano hailing cabs and was touched when one woman offered her taxi without hesitation.

It’s common courtesy. You give up your seat for elderly, pregnant women, disabled, and parents holding babies.

But it seems that people forget these thing sometimes!
