Washington police revealed that 575 people have been arrested for the illegal protest after they marched on the Justice Department on Thursday demanding for the lost children to be reunited with their families.
The protest was directed against President Donald Trump’s administration policy on immigration and in particular the decision to separate children from their parents on the border with Mexico.
Actress and anti-Trump activist Susan Sarandon was among those arrested on Capitol Hill. Sarandon told the news about her arrest on social networks.
“Arrested. Stay Strong. Keep fighting. #WomenDisobey,” Sarandon tweeted Thursday afternoon.

Among the detained was Democratic Party Congressman, Prime Minister Jayapal.
“I’m proud to have been arrested with them to put myself in the camp of people who believe that the United States is better,” she said in a video on Twitter.

Many of the women who were protesting carried banners with messages that families should live together. However, those very same women are advocating for the brutal, painful separation of children from their families by abortion. How can any sane person believe women who exhibit such blatant duplicity? They are as sounding brass. Their words are empty and without meaning.
And, instead of protesting Trump, they should go to Democrats and encourage them to pass legislation to fix the problem instead of obstructing!!
