Libs Freaking Out Over SCOTUS Ruling — But They Completely Missed This Key Line About the Deported Illegal

Washington, D.C. – Liberals are in a frenzy over the Supreme Court’s unanimous April 10, 2025, ruling ordering the Trump administration to “facilitate” the return of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran migrant erroneously deported to El Salvador on March 15, 2025. But in their rush to celebrate, they’ve overlooked a critical line in the decision that underscores the limits of judicial power—and conservatives are calling them out for it. The ruling, while a setback for the administration, doesn’t guarantee Garcia’s return and leaves his ultimate fate in limbo, especially given his suspected MS-13 ties.
The Court’s order, detailed in a Reuters report on April 11, partially granted the government’s emergency application by lifting a district court deadline set by Judge Paula Xinis, which had demanded Garcia’s return by April 4. However, it upheld the requirement for the government to “facilitate” Garcia’s release from El Salvadorian custody and ensure his case is handled as if he hadn’t been deported. The key line liberals missed comes in the Court’s caution: “The intended scope of the term ‘effectuate’ in the District Court’s order is… unclear, and may exceed the District Court’s authority… with due regard for the deference owed to the Executive Branch in the conduct of foreign affairs.” This language, as White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller pointed out on X (@StephenM), makes clear that a district court judge “cannot exercise Article II foreign affairs powers.”
Liberals like former Obama aide Jon Favreau (@jonfavs) misread the ruling, claiming, “Supreme Court in a unanimous decision: He has a legal right to be here, and you have to bring him back.” Conservatives quickly corrected him. “False,” Miller wrote, adding, “The illegal alien terrorist is in the custody and control of a sovereign foreign nation.” @willchamberlain echoed, “SCOTUS didn’t say Garcia has a legal right to be here—they said the district court overstepped.” @TheTonus added, “Libs are freaking out, but they missed the part where the Court slapped down the lower judge’s power grab.”
Garcia, who lived legally in the U.S. with a work permit, was deported amid allegations of MS-13 ties—claims his attorneys and Judge Xinis called “wholly lawless” due to lack of evidence, per an AP News report on April 11. Despite the ruling, conservatives like @MAGAForce2024 on X remain confident: “Garcia’s coming back just to get re-deported—Trump’s team isn’t playing.” The administration’s defiance, including ignoring Xinis’ order to turn around deportation flights, has already drawn contempt threats, as noted in a Washington Post article on April 9. For now, the ruling’s nuance has liberals celebrating prematurely—while conservatives see it as a win for executive power in the long run. As @PatriotPulse put it, “Peak hysterics incoming, but they’re missing the bigger picture.”
