A Military Mom Handed A Note To President Trump – Here’s What It Says
Our fallen soldiers and veterans and their families should be treated with our utmost respect.
We have an awesome President who truly loves America. President Trump is a man with big heart. Our ELECTED President is a GOOD man who knows and respects that and he would never hurt a spouse of a fallen soldier. With every day passed, he just shows us how generous and kind he is.
I am sure we all share the same opinion: those who put their lives aside to defend our freedom deserve everything they can possibly get.
A military spouse and mother gave a note to President Donald Trump last week during a ceremony at the White House, and what she wrote is absolutely incredible.
According to The Daily Caller:
Air Force mom and wife Lisa Stalford wrote to President Trump:
“President and Mrs. Trump, I wish to express to you my gratitude for the invitation to the Mother’s Day reception at the White House on May 9th. It is such an honor to be invited and recognized as a mother of a military member. I would like to take this opportunity and tell you a little bit about my Air Force Family.”
Stalford shared details about her husband who served in the Air Force for 23 years. She also shared details about her four sons who have all either served or are committed to serving in the United States Air Force.
Here is the full transcript of the letter:
President and Mrs. Trump,
I wish to express to you my gratitude for the invitation to the Mother’s Day reception at the White House on May 9th. It is such an honor to be invited and recognized as a mother of a military member. I would like to take this opportunity and tell you a little bit about my Air Force Family.
My husband, MSgt (Ret) Scott Stalford, served in the USAF for 23 years, and I was with him for 18 of those years. He was an Airborne Vietnamese Linguist for most of his career, flying in the back-end of the RC-135 aircraft. He continues to serve in his role as a Department of the Air Force civilian employee at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. Together we have four sons.
Capt Matthew Stalford is an Intelligence Officer in the USAF and just began his first command position in Washington DC. He is also one of your Social Aides to the White House and the reason I received this wonderful invitation. He commissioned out of Det. 825 at the University of Texas Austin in 2009. His dad was his first salute.
1st Lt Philip Stalford is a Missile Officer currently stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He spends the majority of his time in remote locations at Missile Alert Facilities. He also commissioned out of Det. 825 at the University of Texas Austin in 2015. His brother Andrew swore him in, and his dad was his first salute.
Our fourth son, Adam, has also answered the call of service and will be graduating from Texas State University with an undergraduate degree in Business on May 12, 2018. He will receive his commission out of Det. 840 on Saturday, May 19, 2018. Adam will begin his AF career as a Combat Systems Officer (CSO), with his training to take place in Pensacola, FL. His brother Philip will be swearing him in, and his dad will be his first salute.
As you can imagine, the receipt of this invitation to recognize mothers and spouses of military members means a lot to me. I am, without a doubt, a proud military wife and mother!
My husband and I would like to extend to both of you a personal invitation to our son Adam’s Commissioning into the USAF on Saturday, May 19th at 12:00 pm. The event will take place at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
Thank you again for the invitation to the White House on May 9th. I am humbled by your hospitality.
Very Sincerely Yours,
Lisa Stalford
At the event, Stalford handed a note to Trump as he walked out.
“Your love, resilience and courage uplifts our heroes and indeed our nation.”
“We are forever in your debt. I also want to thank all of the spouses here today who are serving in uniform. You are an inspiration to us all, a great inspiration,” President Trump told to the military spouses and moms.
Our President truly honors our military men and women.
Touching letter to our President from an honorable military wife. This is what America is about.
Where was the fake news reporting on this memorable occasion? Make sure you share this because someone will be offended by it and facebook will not allow it to be shared.
