Deputies were dispatched at 9:09 a.m. to the area near Spesutia and Perryman roads. Harford County Fire officials said the incident happened at a Rite Aid distribution facility.
Rite Aid spokeswoman Susan Henderson said the company has a distribution center at the location early reports indicate the shooting occurred in a building called the Liberty Support facility. She said she didn’t know if the shooter was a Rite Aid employee.
It wasn’t known if officials had taken anyone into custody in connection with the incident. A news conference was set for 11:45 a.m.
For now, all we know is that at least three people are dead!
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan described the scene as “horrific.”
“We are closely monitoring the horrific shooting in Aberdeen. Our prayers are with all those impacted, including our first responders. The State stands ready to offer any support,” Hogan said.
“We can confirm there was a shooting in the area of Spesutia Road and Perryman Road. Multiple victims. The situation is still fluid. Please avoid the area,” the sheriff’s office tweeted.
