They hate him not because of who he actually was or what he actually said, but because of the caricature the media and activists built up around him.

Charlie Kirk was a guy who showed up every day ready to talk to anyone. He didn’t hide from difficult conversations. He invited them. He believed in open debate, in challenging bad ideas with better ones, and in treating people with basic respect even when they disagreed with him.

But that’s not the version the left wanted people to see. They needed him to be a monster so they could justify the constant attacks, the smears, and eventually the violence. And too many people bought it without ever bothering to check for themselves.
