Demonstrators had gathered at 7 p.m. at Hollywood Forever Cemetery before marching through the streets of Hollywood.
They were decrying the announcement Wednesday that just one of three Louisville, Ky., police officers involved in the death of Breonna Taylor, who was shot to death in a bungled raid of her apartment, had been charged with a crime. The one indicted officer, Brett Hankison, was charged not in connection with Taylor’s death but for allegedly firing blindly into her apartment building.
The charging decision, anticipated for months, has infuriated people throughout the country and spurred large protests, including one Wednesday night that drew hundreds of people to downtown Los Angeles.
Around 9:30 p.m., a white Prius attempted to maneuver through a crowd of demonstrators near Sunset and Cahuenga boulevards and then sped off.
Another black pick-up truck pulled up in front of the Prius, stopping it in its tracks.
Someone got out of the truck and went up to the Prius’ window, reaching in and trying to get the driver to stop. The Prius managed to backup but hit another car behind it — which appeared to be the same Mustang that followed the first truck.
The Prius managed to get away but the driver was detained several blocks away, police said.
The shocking incident was captured by a local news helicopter.

As the reporter in the helicopter noted, the driver of the Prius did not seem to be attempting to run down any protesters, but was attempting to carefully maneuver through the crowd.

The LAPD officers that arrested the victim of this mob violence are a damn disgrace to the badge, I guess they forgot “To Protect and Serve”, those officers should lose their badges and be thrown in jail.
