Video footage captured Rivers striking Antao in the face after a heated exchange, an act that sent the reporter to the hospital. Rivers’ apology didn’t deny the assault but instead blamed Antao, writing, “I sincerely apologize but cannot sit around and allow you to continue pushing this one-sided narrative… throwing rocks and hiding hands is worse.” She demanded Antao release the full footage, alleging it would reveal the reporter’s provocation.
