Woman Brought Out A Gun To Save Her Man After He Got Into A Road Rage Incident – She Didn’t See The Kid In The Other Car (Video)
A man and a woman have been charged in a shooting incident that authorities say stemmed from road rage in north Harris County.
Nazly Ortiz has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and Benjamin Greene has been charged with assault. The couple appeared in court Wednesday morning. Bond amounts for Ortiz and Greene have not yet been decided.
The shooting happened Tuesday afternoon. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the victim and his 2-year-old son were driving northbound on the North Freeway near 1960.
The attorney representing the couple said the two work together running a cleaning business. It was revealed that Green is a disabled Navy veteran.
Part of the incident was captured on video by a witness.
When the victim exited at Parramatta Lane, Greene followed in the truck he was driving, the sheriff said. When both vehicles came to a stop, Greene, approached the victim at his vehicle and allegedly assaulted him. As the victim tried to leave, Nazly Ortiz got out with a handgun and shot into the backseat window.
As the victim continued to drive off, Ortiz fired a second shot at him. In the video, which was posted on social media, the woman could be seen firing two shots toward the victim’s vehicle before trying to flee the scene.

Gonzalez said a car at a nearby dealership was struck by one of the bullets and the victim was taken to an area hospital with a possible graze wound. He was in good condition, according to Gonzalez.

Ortiz was charged with aggravated assault. Greene was charged with assault, according to Gonzalez.
